Your first lap draws the outline

As you drive a circuit, the map builds from the path your car takes. An incomplete outline is expected during that first lap. Once you complete it, the full circuit stays visible with a moving car marker and the starting point.

The map is a learned circuit view for lap driving. For route guidance across the open world, use Forza's navigation map.

Setup

Add the track map to your HUD

  1. Follow the FH6 Data Out setup and check that Wisp receives live readings.
  2. Open Appearance > Lap delta > More options and enable Show live track map (beta).
  3. Choose Race / Rivals laps or Time Attack for your session.
  4. Complete a full lap to build the circuit, then use Edit HUD layout to place the map.

The track map and lap delta can be shown independently. Race and Rivals use the game's lap timing. Time Attack starts from line crossings at Legend Island, Hokubu, Soni and Sekibe. The lap timing guide explains both modes.

Your HUD layout

Choose its size, position and colors

Set Map size from 50% to 300%. In Colors, choose the track, car and background colors to suit your HUD. Use Edit HUD layout to move it, or Reset map position to return it to its default placement.

Pausing and rewinding keep the learned track and reference laps. Changing car or timing mode starts a new reference session. Use Reset reference laps when you want to start learning again.

After the lap

Inspect the line with your recorded inputs

The live map shows where you are while driving. In Lap review, move through a recorded lap's map and graph together, compare a reference and inspect braking, throttle and speed through a section.
